Voluntary food quality control in West Africa through digitisation

Voluntary food quality control in West Africa through digitisation

The challenges posed by the COVID-19 global pandemic, as it concerns "onsite" verification of conformity assessment bodies (CABs), as well as the increasing unease with the cost of compliance, has contributed to the scarcity of accredited CABs in the region. To address this issue, the proposed PPG aims to help the applicant undertake a feasibility study to potentially apply an innovative mechanism through the optimisation of digital technologies in the accreditation, conformity assessment and capacity development processes led by the West African Accreditation System (WAAS/SOAC).
