This PPG aims to develop a project to roll out the use of Good Regulatory Practice (GRP) to strengthen the development, implementation and review of SPS measures in The Philippines. It will take stock of how SPS regulations and measures are developed and implemented, analyse constraints and challenges faced, and identify opportunities and needs to use GRPs. Work under the PPG, and resulting project, will contribute to improved coordination across government agencies, as well as a reduced regulatory burden for the private sector and lower trade costs.
