STDF workshop on SPS-related technical cooperation in Central America

 

Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala, 11-12 June 2008

 

The aim of this event, hosted jointly by the Government of Guatemala, the STDF and the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) was to reach agreement on the following:

 

  • An analysis of priority SPS needs not covered by future or planned assistance; and  

  • An action plan to mobilize resources to address these specific priority needs.

 

The overall aim was to clearly identify ways in which SPS priority needs could be addressed by donors, international organizations offering technical assistance in the SPS area or through the STDF itself.
