Previous developing country representatives in the STDF were:

Mr. Carlos Correa (Uruguay)

Vice President of the International Committee of the OIE, Dr Correa is a Veterinary Medical Doctor, (Universidad de la República, Uruguay, 1972) and holds a Master of Agriculture (University of Texas A&M, USA , 1974). He is a former Professor of Meat Inspection and Meat Technology at the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. During his carrier, Dr Correa has undertaken major activities in the animal health and public health fields and particularly in relation with the international trade area. Dr Correa represents Uruguay in various international meetings and activities in the WTO, Codex Alimentarius, OIE.

Ms. Jennifer Rathebe (Commark)

Having studied Chemistry at the University, Jennifer Rathebe worked in the food industry in Botswana and South Africa for more than twenty years and then subsequently joined the public sector working as the Director of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Department of Agriculture, South Africa. She is currently Technical Director of ComMark Trust's Regional Standards Programme.

Mr. Larry Lacson (Phillipines)

The Chief of the Philippine Plant Quarantine Service, a PhD candidate with more than 17 years experience in the field of phytosanitary and related disciplines. Philippine representative to the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) and the Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission (APPPC).

Mr. Ke Sovann (LDC representative, Cambodia)
