International Trade Centre (ITC)

ITC is a
joint agency between the World Trade Organization and the United
Nations. Since 1964, the ITC has helped to enable small business
export success in developing countries by providing trade
development programmes to the private sector, trade support
institutions and policymakers. ITC contributes the business
perspective, offering solutions to supply-side constraints that
keep developing countries from participating more fully in world
trade.

United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
|
|
UNCTAD was established 1964. It
is a knowledge-based institution. It aims to help shape current
policy debates and thinking on development, with a particular
focus on ensuring that domestic policies and international action
are mutually supportive in bringing about sustainable
development. In the trade area, UNCTAD works on commodity
diversification and development, competition and consumer
policies, trade negotiations and consumer policies, trade
negotiations and commercial diplomacy, trade analysis and
information system, trade and environment.

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
|
|
UNIDO was
established in 1966. The organization promotes the creation of
wealth and poverty alleviation through manufacturing. Its work
focuses on three inter-related thematic priorities: poverty
reduction through productive activities, trade
capacity-building and energy and environment. UNIDO's
activities in trade-related capacity building include
interventions in the area of standards, metrology, testing and
accreditation to overcome TBT/SPS constraints.
